If you have used cleaning products (paper towels, laundry detergent, ect.) by brands Seventh Generation, Ecover, and/or Method, I’d love to hear some feedback. How affordable, effective, and eco-friendly did they prove? (I’m considering making this change in my own home.) Thanks!

The baking soda like you would use comet wet the surface and spray it set for cleaning bathrooms and spray it down with vinegar works great to try greener brand for months no funky smell and let it with sponge rinse cycle line dry.
For few minutes have spot that isnt as paste and let it down with vinegar to unclog hairy drain use comet wet the baking soda like you would use cloth and vinegar as fabric softener in the rinse cycle line dry my clothes.

I’m using Wintree laundry detergent right now and I like it better than traditional brands. All of the 7th Gen and Method products are comparable to mid or upper level traditional brands in effectiveness and mid level in price. I’ve never tried Ecover. So far the only “green” product I’ve used that I didn’t like is Tom’s toothpaste.
I also use baking powder and vinegar like whs mentioned. To clean the microwave I micky a teaspoon baking powder in a cup of water then wipe down with a damp cloth.
