I wrote before that I wanted to remove everything plastic from my house. What I should have said is that I want to remove as much plastic as possible. I no longer have a TV, radio, CD/MD/Casette player. I would say I have about 5% of plastic in the house now. My computer has plastic, but overall it is made of a thin metal covering, expensive, but I’m on a mission. Also, when I shop, I bring my own bag and remove all plastic containers at the shop, which has a recycle bin for those things, so I come home with zero plastic. Wood, glass etc are eco-friendly. Plastic isn’t.

parquet tile is 30 years old. have removed and hyper-laboriously scraped, scraped, scraped with acetone, alchohol, nail polish remover, kitchen cleaners to no avail. do not like chemicals nor dust. do not wish to rent machine and grind and sand off of floor, which is delicate.

terrazo is a lovely finish from a vintage 1956 home. two rooms are perfect, others need to be reclaimed, prefereable in a eco friendly manner.

My grandson is hearing impaired, 12 years old, and has had his IQ tested every year for the past 2 years because my daughters family has had to move. Now he is back at the school district where he first started. He is in 7th grade and is a very polite well liked child. People that went to school with him before remembered him when he enrolled. He is having trouble realizing he has home work or remembering to take his books home. He loves band and he even forgot to take his band instrument to school. He can be very emotional almost like a 5 year old when something upsets him. He is very smart and can make A’s, B’s. He loves music, science and home eco. I think he might be autistic or something or am I being an over protective grandmother. There is not much I can do but make suggestions to his mom. I just don’t think he is getting the right help.
